I recently shot a Advertorial for Dior featured in the recent issue of Gritty Pretty Magazine. Editor Eleanor Pendleton really pushed the digital boundaries with this issue, stunning moving editorials  transport you to fashion and beauty heaven!

For the look I created an exaggerated winged eye, with sparkly highlights  – so lot’s of drama!

Here’s how i created the look –

Skincare

Hydra Life- Pro-Youth Sorbet Crème – Apply over Essence, using circular movements to stimulate circulation.

Primer – Glow Maximizer – Apply all over the face for an iridescent instant glow, Can also just be used on the cheekbones for a targeted highlight.

Foundation  -Dior Nude air – Massage over the face with my hands to allow the product to melt into the skin giving a sheer dewy coverage.

Concealer – Diorskin Star Concealer – buff lightly under the eyes with a small fluffy blending brush, and press any excess into the skin with your ring finger.

Powder – Les Neiges de Diorsnow  (Rainbow) lightly dust all over the face, can also be used under the eyes for an extra light reflective boost!

Blush – Dior blush – 756 – Rose Chérie

Contour – Diorskin Nude Shimmer – 002 Amber – apply under cheekbones, top of forehead and lightly dust over the bridge of the nose.

Eyeliner – Diorshow Khôl – 099 – Smoky Black – Apply to upper and lower lash line, making sure there are no gaps in between the lashes. (I also used this to create the shape of the exaggerated winged liner, blending out with a small tapered synthetic brush)

Eyeliner – Pro black – Apply Inside bottom and top waterline,

Eyeshadow – 5 Couleures designer –  Smoky Design –   I applied the darkest colour on the mobile lid over the khol, softening the edges and smoking it out to create a dramatic extended cat eye design. I then used the lightest sparkly silver shadow on the inner corner of the eye to open up and make the eye pop) you can also use the silver highlight colour under the brow bone for extra sparkle.

Mascara – First apply Dior show maximizer lash plumping serum to the naked lash to plump & lift lashes, Followed by Dior show mascara in pro black – at least 2 coats. Use a zig-zag motion at the root of the lash before pulling through the lashes to create maximum length and volume.

Lips – Rouge Dior 169 – Grège, Apply with a lip brush if you have one then to  create the illusion of fuller lips – apply a small amount of Dior Rouge Brilliant lip gloss in ‘swan’ in the centre of the bottom lip only.
