Liner that lasts
As a makeup artist I get asked about products all the time, ‘which foundation should I use’, ‘what’s
the best mascara’. One of the most popular question I get is, ‘can you recommend a eyeliner that lasts’.
Whether it’s for girls night, a long work day, or or a makeup artist on a shoot, we want our liner to last!
I have tried and tested a lot of eyeliners over the years and I always come back to Bobbi Brown Long-wear gel liner. It’s true to colour and most of all it stays in place! horrah!
I recommend using an angle brush for precision, start from the inside eye and work your way along the upper lash
line. You can also use this in the waterline – just use a small amount and use
a small flat ‘push’ eyeliner brush.
Try resting the palm of your hand on your cheek for
stability while drawing your line. For optimum effect & ease use short,
smooth, overlapping strokes from the inner corner out instead of one swoop.
When creating a winged eyeliner on yourself, I feel
its easier to start at the ‘tail’ end of the liner, Use the end of your eyebrow
as a guide to angle your flick, generally aim for a 45 degree angle.
I recommend doing this on both eyes, so you can get
the right balance, When your happy with your ‘flicks’ continue along the lash
line towards the center of the eye, then turn your angle brush around so that
longest, sharpest point is in the inner corer of your eye then connect the 2
lines.

Practice makes perfect, if you find the brush and gel too overwhelming then try an eyeliner pen. I love Dior art liner and Loreal’s superslim liner.
