David Jones SS18 Show
Makeup look david jones SS18

It was such a pleasure to work with the amazing Makeup Director Vitoria Baron & the rest of the teamfor the David Jones Spring Summer 18 Runway show.

The Look was a super dewy, dreamy skin with fake freckles & a bold statement lip. The runway was a giant green house, wall to wall florals & a garden swing!  Victoria’s makeup brief was the essence of spring, she said imagine the models had been hanging out in a greenhouse all day. The skin was to be super hydrated, dewy, fresh & vibrant.

Skin prep was super important, being the middle of winter here in Australia, a lot of the model’s skin was a touch on the dry side.  We massaged KORA Organics’ Noni Glow Face Oil the skin, which can i say I’m now in love with, I went out and brought one for my Pro kit and one for myself! Then we applied Dermalogica’s Active Moist Moisturiser over the top for added hydration.

For the base we used  Bobbi Brown’s Intensive

Skin Serum, I loved this foundation – it was super sheer and hydrating, adding to that dew drenched skin.

Under the eyes, around the corners of the nose,we used Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter   this is now my new Fav concealer for under the eyes, it has Brilliant coverage as well as brightening, its also part of the Est`ee lauder Double wear range – so it’s long lasting.

Bobbi Brown's Glow StickTo make the skin extra radiant & lush we used the amazing Glow Stick’s by Bobbi brown these beauties give the most divine bronze glow, I will defiantly be investing in these  – perfect for beach photoshoots or for brides who what that dewy bronzed glow.

The highlight on the cheekbones was YSL’s liquid Glow Shot, this has a really gorgeous high shine that comes in a variety of shades to suit each skin tone. The consistency is pretty fluid, you wouldn’t want to add this over a full coverage foundation, best on sheer bases or naked on the skin.

For the lips Makeup Director Victoria Baron had chosen a section of bold matte MAC lipsticks, each model was allocated a shade to compliment their skin tone. The bright matte shade of the lipsticks was a fierce contrast to the the soft dewy skin, so gorgeous.
