Gaze – Fashionising.com
Check out my recent beauty editorial published on Fashionising.com – ‘Gaze’ shot by Sydney photographer Amani Faiz. The inspiration behind the shoot was imperial beauty, a regal elegance, which our gorgeous model Ebony from Debut Management captured effortlessly.
The makeup was inspired by Aztec markings, using greasepaint to illustrate the face. The skin had to be flawless, almost artificial looking, I wanted it to look perfect – I buffed in the foundation after applying Dior’s skin flash primer which brightens the skin. I used a small buffing brush to apply Dior’s Skin flash concealer – super creamy and hydrating! under the eyes, around the nose and chin – perfect for beauty shoots.
To set the foundation and to give the skin that extra drama I used MAC’s Mineralize powder, again using circular buffing movements over the face, neck & decolletage.I highlighted and contoured the skin, extended the brows and buffed in blusher – I used 2 different Dior’s blushes – first a warm bronze tone (849) and then a pinky tone on the apples of the cheeks (829).

I styled the soot with some amazing headpieces from the incredibly talented milliner Suzy O’Rourke.
